4-Days Gorilla Habituation and Chimpanzee Trekking

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi National Park

• Depart from Kampala or Entebbe at 7:00 AM.
• Head to Bwindi National Park in southwestern Uganda, known for its gorilla habitat.
• Stop briefly at the Equator for photos and a quick drink.
• Enjoy scenic views during the 7-8 hour drive, including Ankole cattle near Lake Mburo and the rolling hills of Kabale.
• Arrive in the evening at your accommodation (Gorilla Mist Camp, Lake Mutanda, or Rushaga Gorilla Camp).
• Meals: Full Board (FB)

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking / Habituation

• Choose between Gorilla Trekking or Gorilla Habituation (4-day experience) in the Rushaga sector.
• After breakfast, go to the park headquarters for a briefing by UWA park rangers.
• Trek through the misty forest to see the gorillas. Spend an hour with them if trekking or four hours if habituating.
• Return to your lodge to relax.

Day 3: Transfer to Entebbe

• After breakfast, drive 7 hours to Entebbe.
• Stop for lunch in Mbarara.
• Arrive in Entebbe in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay at African Gorilla Guest House or Karibu Guest House.
• Meals: Bed & Breakfast (B/B)

Day 4: Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Viewing

• After breakfast, transfer to the Wildlife Education Centre for a boat trip to Ngamba Island.
• Watch the chimps during their lunch hour and visit the laboratories where sick chimps are treated.
• Return to the mainland and relax at Entebbe beach before your flight home.
