Day 1: Entebbe – Kampala

A representative of Primate link safaris will warmly welcome you at Entebbe International Airport and transfer you to Kampala City, the commercial and industrial capital of Uganda.  Dinner and overnight at Speke Resort Munyonyo (Luxurious) or Hotel Africana (Medium) - FB.

Day 2: Kampala – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

After an early breakfast, set off for Bwindi on southbound road,with a stop over at the Equator.. Lunch enroute. Drive through fabulous lush-green scenery of Kabale, the ‘Switzerland of Uganda’, to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.  Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Forest Camp or Buhoma lodge (High-end/Luxurious accommodation) Gorilla mist or Gorilla valley (Medium budget) or Buhoma Community Bandas- FB.

Day 3: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Arise early, breakfast and get a brief in preparation for an adventure of a lifetime – tracking the world’s largest ape, the rare mountain gorilla. This activity takes 2 – 6 hours with one hour of exclusive fellowship with our closer half. Only 650 gorillas left in the Virunga Mountain ranges and Uganda is home to half of them. Carry sturdy hiking boots, water-proof and long-sleeved shirts and trousers, gloves, insect repellant and lunchbox will be helpful. Cameras are most welcome however use of a flash not permitted. Your park guides will enhance our knowledge on the flora and fauna and lifestyle of the gorillas. Day 4: Bwindi – Queen Elisabeth National Park

After breakfast, drive through the Ishasha sector as you head for Uganda’s premier national park, Queen Elisabeth National Park. The sector is well-known for the famous tree-climbing lions.  Have a game drive as you drive to your cabin encountering warthogs, waterbucks, bushbucks, elephants, among others.  Spend afternoon at leisure at the swimming pool. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge or Kyangabi lodge (Luxurious)  Kingfisher Tented Camp or Baboon lodge (Medium-budget) -FB

Day 5: Queen Elisabeth National Park

Rise early for an unforgettable morning game drive to the crater lakes and Kasenyi mating grounds – an excellent opportunity to spot lions, leopards, elephants, giant forest hogs, cape buffalo, waterbucks and Uganda kobs. Return for late breakfast with an option of relaxing by the swimming poolside, thereafter.  After lunch, go for a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel revealing high concentrations of hippos, colourful bird and lots of mammals drinking from shores. Day 6: Queen Elisabeth – Kibaale National Park

After breakfast, transfer to Kibaale National Park arriving in time for lunch. After a lunch break, proceed to the forest for chimpanzee tracking. The forest has the highest concentration of primates in Africa including red-tailed and grey-cheeked mangabeys, red colobuses, baboons and acrobatic vervet monkeys. An amazing experience with our close cousins. Chimps are a marvel to behold and are said to have nearly 98% of the human genetic code. Day 7: Kibaale – Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast, drive along the western arm of the Albertine Rift Valley via Masindi, Hoima arriving Murchison Falls in the afternoon. This is a long drive through the vibrant countryside dotted with traditional homesteads and breathtaking scenery. Cross River Nile by ferry and have a game drive to the top of the falls where the Nile crushes into a seven-metre gap. Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge or Bakers lodge (Luxurious)  Murchison River Lodge or Pakuba lodge (Medium-budget accommodation)  – FB

Day 8: Murchison Falls National Park

After an early riser tea, head for the northern bank for an marvelous game drive to spot Elephant, Rothschild’s giraffe, lions, cape buffalo, hartebeests, bushbucks, orb, bohor reedbucks, hyenas and chance permitting, the elusive leopard. Return to lodge for late breakfast with option of relaxing by swimming pool.  Afternoon is for a boat cruise to the bottom of the gigantic falls, just metres away from the ‘devil cauldron’ spot. The 17-kilometre stretch will reveal huge Nile Crocodiles, toothy hippos, elephants, waterbucks and other mammals. Bird lovers ought to look out for Goliath herons, Egyptian geese, pelicans, bee-eaters, cormorants and the rare shoebill stork.  This spot is also famous for sport fishing. Day 9: Murchison Falls – Kampala

Day 10: Kampala – Entebbe

After breakfast, take a city tour of Kampala. This eye-opening tour will give you an insight into the magic of Kampala – the twin cathedrals of Rubaga and Namirembe, Kasubi tombs (the traditional burial grounds of Buganda kings in reed and backcloth buildings), Bahai Faith Temple (the only one in Africa), Uganda Museum, Parliament buildings and wind up with art and craft shopping at the African Village Market.  After lunch, bid farewell to the Pearl of Africa and transfer to airport to catch your flight back home!
