3 Days Rwanda Mountain Gorilla and Golden Monkeys trekking in Volcanoes National Park; home to both the endangered mountain gorillas and the shy golden monkeys. Parc Des Volcanoes is located in Musanze province of Rwanda.

Itinerary

Day 1Kigali City and Transfer to Volcanoes NP

At 7:30AM, A Tour Guide from Gorilla Safaris Consultants will pick you up from Kigali( hotel / Airport ) for a transfer to Volcanoes National Park ( 2 hours’ drive) and if you wish, you may take a city tour to the Gisozi Genocide Memorial Site, Nyamata Church, Presidential Palace , and some local markets and craft shops.

Day 2Mountain Gorilla Trek and Cultural Tour

Upon rising, enjoy your breakfast and assemble at the Kinigi Park office at 7:00AM where you will be briefed on the code of conduct when trekking for the mountain gorillas. With your porters and Park guards and rangers, you will get on to your expedition through the dense montane forest. Depending on movement of these creatures, you will locate them after hiking for 30 minutes – 7 hours. Enjoy your stay with them before retrieving the starting g point for your scertificate of participation before returning to your lodge.

Day 3Golden Monkeys Tracking and Return to Kigali

After morning coffee, return to the Kinigi Park office for morning briefing on code of conduct for tracking golden monkeys. These are shy and jumpy creatures, very wonderful to watch as they jump from tree branch to tree branch and usually walk in larger numbers as compared to the mountain gorillas. Enjoy your stay with the shy creatures before retrieving the starting point for your drive back to Kigali.
